The group starts off in Hub1 security station after Crystalina force choked Lord Proprietor Zix Wheem, and then killing the security forces at the location. Krev is in work on repairs of their commandeered Hutt ship (Sith Interceptro Pg 128 SSotG) in the docking bay with several of the group’s droids.
Now considering the space station hostile due to these actions, and with the Hutt fleet set to arrive in 6 hours the group gets to work in their efforts towards a change of command on the space station. Nara starts off contacting Crix Tosh, leader of the maintenance union faction. She inquires if they are ready to move on Zix. Crix replies that they are 95% complete, but it is critical for their assault to be successful that the command level holonet is down. Nara implores them to be ready, and Crix confirms they will be as soon as the holonet is disabled.
Nara then contacts their newly acquired informants Dip and his team of scoundrels. They report that they took the public elevator to the command center, and that large droids with big guns are guarding the entrance. They tell the group the guards immediately requested authorization to proceed. Dip's team bailed out with much haste after that. They do not recall much about the entry way to the core off the elevator other than some shipping containers and storage crates.
The group decides to make their way to maintenance tunnels below Hub1. Galen remembers seeing a computer terminal in the tunnels and move to access the space station holonet. Once on console he utilizes the groups only computer spike to move the system from friendly to helpful. Once he has complete control and administrator access he searches for full schematics of the station including the command center area of the core.
The schematics show in-depth systems and structure of the station, but abruptly end at the top of the station where the command level is known to be. There's a main elevator for whole station and maintenance elevator for whole station on opposite sides of the station. Command level holds the station reactor. There's a giant conduit parallel to the maintenance elevator for purpose of servicing the reactor. The schematic just stops at that point. All the levels will have access panels for this conduit, but it's not meant to be traversed. The conduit has no pressure but is not open to space. A living operator would need to seal pressure bulkheads/doors, wear a suit, etc.
Galen announces that he'll start making preparations to access the reactor conduit. Galen finds the air lock for the Spine conduit. Helpful station computer is providing support for Galen. The computer helps bypass security measures and lock-outs at the airlock.
Nara calls Crix Tosh to begin the assault early. Crix asks if the holonet is out, and Nara states it is not. Crix is adamant about the use of stealth to take out the holonet. When pressed, Crix offers a single junk droid to aid the group.
Nara, Krev, and Crystalina make their way to the maintenance elevator. It's about 15-ft square inside. The elevator corroded and dusty, but otherwise empty. Galen hears the soft patter of boots passing by the area where is in the maintenance tunnel. It sounds like half a dozen people. Crystalina also hears the boot steps rapidly approaching down the corridor. As the doors close on the elevator, Krev sees station security heading toward the elevator. One of them notices the group in the elevator, but the group isn't sure if they were recognized.
Nara pushes the button for the command center level. The party (minus Galen) is transported to the command level, and the door asks for authorization to access the level. Nara calls Dip to ask for aid, who says he used the common/main elevator. Krev dismantles the elevator panel and messes with wires until attempting to bypass the security using his mechanics skill. At the last second, Krev taps the Blue wire, which kills the panel and the elevator door lock unlatches.
The Junk Droid opens the elevator door on command. Krev sees a security camera, which appears to be active. Krev notices that the maintenance area appears to be separate from the command level entrance that Dip observed. There's also a terminal on the wall and a set of double-doors.
Galen opens the door to the spine conduit. Using dark vision, Galen sees there is no illumination. There are ducts and heavy cables- electrical, coolant, water, etc. Galen is pretty sure there are no security measures. As he climbs up the conduit using magnetic feet, Galen remains passively on alert for security measures.
Krev stealthily moves into the maintenance area and notices a pair of laser turrets at the corners of the elevator wall. With help from Nara, Krev is levitated up to the camera. Krev opens the camera housing and is investigating the wiring attempting to dismantle it; when the camera turns and looks right at him. The turrets shoot Krev for 24 pts of damage.
Krev takes 5pts of damage from being suddenly dropped by Nara. Krev takes cover from the turrets and then shoots the camera destroying it. Galen is making final approach to 'top' of the Spine. Crystalina Moves from elevator to cover from turret on the left. She cannot percieve if the turrets are still active. Nara sends the Junk Droid into the room. When the turrets do not immediately fire, Nara steps out into the room also. Nara critically force-crushes the left turret into a tiny mass of crumpled metal. Remaining turret hits Junky for 17pt of damage. Krev blasts the remaining turret for 18pt of damage.
Galen arrives at the airlock port at the top of the Spine. Galen hears blaster fire through thick walls. At the top are 4 different access ports in a row on the command level. The upper doors have the same security features. Power conduits go to the right and left. Coolant follows power lines. Heaviest power lines 'to the right'. Galen uses tool kit to cleverly disable the locking mechanism for the right-hand airlock access. Galen used a force point to succeed.
Crystalina uses acrobatics and nimbly deals fatal damage to the turret with her lightsaber. Nara / Junky move to cover the maintenance area's doorways. Nara and Junky ready actions to shoot and smash, respectively. The right door of maintenance opens, and a recon droid is hovering in place. With a readied action, Nara shoots at the droid. She doesn't directly hit, but still deals 6 damage to the droid. Krev shoots and hits the droid for 15 pts of damage.
Galen sees a plain room directly ahead. There are two large doors on either side of the room. Galen describes the door he's looking at. Galen enters the room and finds heavy mechanical locks. Galen closes the hatch to the Spine and pressure to the room is restored.
Crystalina lobs a grenade the floating droid damaging it heavily. Nara blasts the droid with autofire and destroys it. Krev accesses the nearby computer terminal and finds that it is hostile. Galen observes power conduits heading away from the door likely leading to the group. Given schematic knowledge, we are on the periphery of the station. Galen fails to unlock the heavy mechanical lock leading to the party. Galen advises the party not to damage the airlock door.
With a brief interlude in hostilities Crystalina dawns her lightsaber and readies action by a doorway. Nara sits to meditate for 10 rounds (1 minute). Krev takes a Second Wind and restores 11 hitpoints. With Galen assisting, Krev uses assistance from the force and adeptly unlocks the heavy airlock door.
Galen relays Spine info to Krev and tries hand at the other airlock door. Galen fumbles with the lock unsuccessfully. Crystalina stands watch. Nara begins round 2 of meditation. The right door opens, exposing a pair of battle droids. Crystalina chucks a frag grenade as a readied action. She notices that fragments bounce off of their shields.
The 'rear' droid fires a missile. Junk Droid takes 18 pts damage and Krev takes no damage, thanks to Evasion. The forward droid enters the room. Crys takes an attack of opportunity to deal 8 pts damage. The shield takes the bulk of the damage. The forward droid uses a flame thrower to deal damage to (and kill) the Junk Droid. Nara catches fire interrupting her mediatation.
Galen shoots the forward droid for 16 pts of damage, the droid shows signs of heavy damage. Nara rolls around a bit to put the fire out. Crystalina uses Move Object to smash the forward droid into the rear droid for 14 pts of damage to both droids. The forward droid, now in the hallway, tries to shoot and misses Crystalina. The rear droid misses badly with a missile. Crystalina takes 6 pts damage. The forward droid dies from the missile fire.
Krev moves toward Nara for effective healing by Galen. Galen moves to Krev provides first aid to restore 22 hitpoints. Nara steps forward and blasts full auto at the rear droid. Hits for 15 pts damage, including the force point add-on. The rear droid, twitching and nearly destroyed, fires off another missile. Krev evades the missile blast. Galen and Nara would take 10pts. Nara takes damage, and Galen's shields absorb the damage.
Zix comes on the loud speakers, gleefully, and announces that we've been fighting the least he has to offer and our party will now die. The massive pair of blast doors in front of the group slide open, and two large droideka droids roll up into view. Through the open doorway (opposite side of airlock), Krev and Galen notice large computer banks (they guess these may be the holonet). Krev shoots and kills the rear B2 battle droid in the right-hand hallway. Galen heals Nara for 14 hitpoints.
Crystalina, in a show of true bad-assery, surges into the room with computer banks. Sadly, she critically fails her grenade toss, and instead of hitting the rear Droideka, the grenade only damages the computer bank. The grenade does 15 pts of ion damage to the computer bank. Nara chucks a frag grenade at the forward Droideka. The grenade's damage bounces off the droid's shield. Rear Droideka turns to Crystalina and fires with a blaster. Crystalina scores a critical on the deflect roll, so the blaster fire is redirected at the Droideka's for 24pts damage.
The forward most Droideka auto-fires it’s blaster rifle upon Nara and Krev. Krev tak es 7 damage, Nara takes 15 damage. Krev uses a force point to add damage and a Destiny point to do 46 pts of damage to the forward Droideka- damaging it heavily. Galen also uses a force and Destiny point to do 30pts of damage. Droid probably takes 15pts of damage and has its shield level reduced to SR10. Crystalina force-grips the rear Driodeka for 4d6 → 15 pts damage.
Nara uses Improved Battle Meditation. All party members get +1 bonus for attacks and skills, and all enemies get negatives, within 12 squares of Nara. Nara then auto-fires on the forward Droideka and destroys it with 15 pts of damage (against SR 10).
Over the intercom, we hear Zix say “you're killing my droids, and now I'll kill you.” Nara sees green gas coming out of vents. Nara goes -2 on condition track. Feels like radiation damage. Krev changes weapons and does 8 pts ion damage to the Droideka.
Galen makes a good hit on the rear Droideka, dealing 17 points of damage and reducing it to SR10 shields. The Droideka likely 7 pts of damage. Crystalina maintains focus and moves (with the gripped rear Droideka) toward the maintenance elevator lobby.
Nara critically fails her attack on the rear Droideka. She takes a spill, ending up on the floor. Radiation continues spreading into the computer room. Two B1 battle droids enter the room. One misses Nara. The other misses Krev and falls over. Krev ion blasts a B1 with an ion pistol, dealing 11 pts of damage.
Galen shoots the rear Droideka yet again. He deals 22 damage and destroys it. Crystalina chucks a frag grenade between the computer banks as Galen closes the door to the room filling with radiation. She deals 18 pts damage to each computer bank. They take the shrapnel and keep operating. Nara takes advantage of her recent fall to auto-fire upon the B1 droids while Prone. She hits them for 18 pts damage. Both B1's are destroyed.
Galen seals himself into the computer bank room, opens the door to the spine, and vents out the room. While the room is vented, Galen seals the radiation gas vents and welds closed the computer room doors. He then opens the door back up to maintenance after re-sealing the Spine.
The party proceeds to destroy the computer banks which comprise the holonet. They notify Crixtosh. The group used 1 hour, leaving 5 until the Hutt fleet is set to arrive in the system. The party gains 1500 XP and 1 destiny point. Loot: Droideka is repairable, droid missile launcher arm
